I’ve always been interested in people. As the first-generation daughter of Greek immigrants, I grew up acutely fascinated by what shapes who to view something some way. At age seven, my mom caught me interviewing the technicians at her nail salon with a notepad.

That same mom, a psychiatrist, would often remind me that psychology is the Greek word ψυχολογία, “the study of the soul.” The study of the soul, mind, perception—I was hooked. I received a B.A. in Psychology & Creative Writing and an M.A. in Data & Computational Journalism from Stanford University. Though my mom is a psychiatrist, she grew up wanting to be an archeologist, and this makes a lot of sense to me. Archeology, psychology, storytelling: a lot of sifting and digging and re-becoming through new understanding. I just happen to find storytelling the most beautiful of the three.

Stanford is where I first began integrating research with storytelling, training as a journalist who can see narrative inside numerical data as much as anything else. I've worked as a researcher for a Stanford Medicine lab, the nonprofit College & Community Fellowship, the Stanford Center for Racial Justice, and the Library of Congress. But I've always been less interested in documenting events than in understanding how people make meaning of them—and, in turn, of themselves.

I handle every stage of production myself, from reporting and writing through shooting, editing, and sound design and mixing. This hands-on approach has earned recognition internationally: my podcast, Friends in Liminal Spaces, won Best Podcast at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and was a finalist for the 2024 International Women's Podcast Award. In 2025, I founded Cold Side to bring that same approach to my first feature documentary.
